Introduction
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the closest you can get to climbing Mt Annapurna without actually climbing it.

- DAY 1
From Kathmandu, travel to Pokhara.
215 km drive | 7 hours drive | Indiahikes Trekkers stay at Hotel Serenity in Pokhara
You may get to Pokhara on your own, either by bus or by flying in from Kathmandu. At Hotel Serenity, you’ll meet the rest of the staff. Indiahikes will take care of your stay at Hotel Serenity.
- DAY 2
From Pokhara, drive to Lower Ghandruk. Komrong Trekking
Drive distance: 55 km | time to complete: 3-4 hours | elevation gain: 2,760 feet to 5,415 feet
Trek distance: 5 km | time to complete: 3-4 hours | elevation gain: 5,415 feet to 7,380 feet
The trek has a moderate incline.
- DAY 3
From Komrong to Chhomrong, hike
Trek distance: 7 km | time to complete: 5-6 hours | altitude change: 7,380 feet to 7,120 foot
- Day 4
The descent begins with a short, gentle descent that lasts around an hour. to Dovan
Trek distance: 10.50 km | time to complete: 6-7 hours | elevation gain: 7,120 feet to 8,460 feet
Moderate-difficult. After a 20-minute descent, the ascent is severe for approximately an hour. A half-hour ascent is followed by a sharp 30-minute descent. Finish off with a two-hour climb to Dovan. On the journey, you can replenish your water bottles at tea houses.

Dovan to Machapuchare Base Camp Trek
Trek distance: 10 km | time to complete: 6-7 hours | elevation gain: 8,460 feet to 12,135 feet
Moderate-difficult. The rise begins gradually. A succession of gentle and steep ascents follows. On the journey, you can replenish your water bottles at tea houses.

Annapurna Base Camp to Machapuchare Base Camp Trek
Trek distance: 3.50 km | time to complete: 2 hours | elevation gain: 12,135 feet to 13,550 feet
Moderate. The trail begins with a steep incline for about 1 km before gradually ascending to ABC. On the journey, you can replenish your water bottles at tea houses.

Bamboo Trek from Annapurna Base Camp
Trek Distance: 15.50 km | Time Required: 8-9 hours | Altitude Change: 13,550 feet to 7,675 feet
Moderate-difficult. A combination of steep and moderate descents, with the same route taken back. On the journey, you can replenish your water bottles at tea houses.

Jhinu Trek from Bamboo
Trek distance: 10 km | time to complete: 6-7 hours | altitude change: 7,675 feet to 5,770 feet
Moderate-difficult. A 45-minute hard rise is followed by a 30-minute steep descent.
- Day 9
From Jhinu to Syauli Bazaar, hike. Journey to Pokhara
Trek distance: 6 km | time required: 4 hours 5,770 ft 4,580 ft altitude loss
Drive time: 45 km | duration: 2-3 hours | Indiahikes Trekkers drop off point: Hotel Serenity, Pokhara
Easy-moderate. A 30-minute steep drop is followed by a gentle rise. On the journey, you can replenish your water bottles at tea houses.

Day of buffering
Only book your return flight after 6 p.m.
POINTS TO NOTE
– Trekkers must bring a copy of their photo ID with them to the forest checkpoints on the trail.
– Your lodging will be in lodges at the base camp.
– You will be staying at tea houses during the journey.
– There is no cloakroom available in Pokhara. On the trek, don’t bring any extra luggage.

- Continue your journey
If you want to go to Pokhara on Day 1 of your journey, take a bus instead of a flight from Kathmandu. Buses are far more dependable than airplanes, which are sometimes canceled due to weather changes.
- Journey Back
You’ll arrive in Pokhara between 6 and 7 p.m. on your way back. Plan your Pokhara departure for after 9.00 p.m.
